A student or postdoctoral scientist presenting a paper at a professional conference may apply for an award from the Institute to assist with the cost of travel. Funding is limited to one award per year of up to $500. Applications should be submitted according to the guidelines.
John Ingle Innovation in Plant Breeding Awards
UGARF Cultivar Development Research Program-sponsored awards for innovative graduate student and postdoc research or faculty/research professional study leave. Guidelines provide detailed information on scope, eligibility and application process. The annual submission deadline is May 30.
Georgia Seed Association Scholarship
The Georgia Seed Association is offering a $2,000 scholarship to a deserving student attending a state university pursuing an agriculture-related degree. Depending on the number and quality of the applicants, the Association may opt to select a graduate and undergraduate recipient.
Applications will be reviewed by the Association’s Scholarship Committee. Attached is the application; please distribute to any interested students you think might be interested. Applications must be received by Friday, June 1st.
