A Note from the Director - Look Back, Looking Forward
Dear friends of IPBGG,
The IPBGG has grown into a vibrant and dynamic community of scientists applying their expertise in plant breeding, genetics, and genomics to better understand crop plants and develop improved varieties.
At the same time, the expanding list of emeritus IPBGG faculty underscores that the Institute has now been in existence for nearly two decades. Rather than focusing solely on past accomplishments, this milestone offers a natural moment to turn our attention toward the future.

Our graduate student community is 60 students strong and central to everything we do. While their research keeps our labs and fields thriving, their impact goes much further.
Through the PBGG Graduate Student Association, they build lasting professional bonds and sharpen their leadership skills by organizing key events that strengthen our collective sense of community.
